The National Gendarmerie Command announced in a statement on Wednesday the launch of its official social media accounts under the name "Algerian National Gendarmerie," as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening communication bridges with citizens.
Through these official pages on the Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok platforms, the public will be able to "access the various activities and missions carried out by the National Gendarmerie, as well as official communiqués, in addition to awareness campaigns," with a view to "providing accurate and reliable information," according to the same source.
"The launch of the official channel of the Algerian National Gendarmerie on the YouTube and X platforms is underway," the statement specified, adding that "the opening of these two channels will be announced soon, serving as an additional space for broadcasting media, documentary, and awareness content."
On this occasion, the National Gendarmerie Command calls on all citizens to follow its accounts and "gather information exclusively from its official sources, while avoiding being misled by false information or pages impersonating the institution," the statement concluded.
