The Ministry of National Education announced in a statement on Tuesday the official adoption of the Apostille system for the legalization of diplomas, with a view to simplifying administrative procedures.
This measure "applies to all public documents issued by the ministry's central administration and the wilaya directorates of education, as well as diplomas and educational documents issued by public institutions under its supervision," the statement specified.
To this end, "citizens must submit (since July 9, 2026) their requests for this certification via the dedicated national platform, accessible on the website apostille.gov.dz, by following all the steps required for its acquisition, from retrieving the document intended for use abroad from the issuing institution, to its signature and delivery," the same source explained.
This system is part of "facilitating the authentication of documents intended for use in member states of the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961, Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents," the ministry's statement recalled.
