Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud, transmitted on Saturday in Sétif the condolences of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the families of the victims of the tragic road accident that occurred in Boumerdès, assuring them of the State's solidarity and support in this painful ordeal.
Following the funeral, Mr. Sayoud met with the families of the victims of the bus accident that occurred Friday morning in the wilaya of Boumerdès, to whom he conveyed the condolences of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and those of the members of the Government, assuring them of "the full solidarity and support of the State in this painful ordeal."
"The President of the Republic ensured that a ministerial delegation was present to convey his personal condolences to all the families of the victims and to sympathize with their grief following the tragic accident in the wilaya of Boumerdès, which left 27 dead and 42 injured, some of whom have been discharged from the hospital while others continue to receive treatment," stated Mr. Sayoud.
The Minister paid tribute to the memory of the victims, imploring Almighty Allah to welcome them into His vast paradise and to grant their loved ones patience and solace.
On the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Sayoud traveled, accompanied by the Minister of Health, Mr. Mohamed Seddik Aït Messaoudène, to the wilaya of Sétif to attend the funerals of many of the victims of this tragic accident at the El Eulma cemetery.
The delegation attended the burial in a solemn atmosphere alongside a large crowd. This official and public presence illustrates national cohesion and profound solidarity with the families of the victims in this painful ordeal.
