9th Edition of Large-Scale Cleaning Campaign in Algiers Wilaya to Launch Friday

The Wilaya of Algiers will organize the 9th edition of its large-scale cleaning campaign on August 7 and 8, according to a statement from the wilaya on Thursday.

The campaign is held under the patronage of the Minister, Wali of Algiers, Mr. Mohamed Abdenour Rabehi, following his instructions on "the necessity of intensifying efforts to preserve the cleanliness of the environment," the statement specified.

Supervised by the Walis Délégués of the 14 administrative districts, the campaign will cover "streets, major neighborhoods, and large housing estates across various municipalities of the capital." Participating entities include wilaya services, administrative districts, executive directorates, and public wilaya establishments, which will mobilize all human and material resources to ensure the initiative's success.

This campaign also serves as "an opportunity to manifest the culture of citizenship and collective responsibility through the broad participation of citizens and civil society actors, while contributing to the preservation of the capital's cleanliness and environmental beauty," the statement concluded.
