HCLA Honors President of the Republic for Efforts to Promote Arabic Language

The Higher Council for the Arabic Language (HCLA) honored the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Thursday, in recognition of his sustained efforts to promote the Arabic language.

This distinction was received on behalf of the President of the Republic by Prime Minister Mr. Sifi Ghrieb during the award ceremony for the first edition of the President of the Republic Award for Literature and Arabic Language. The event was organized by the Higher Council for the Arabic Language at the International Conference Centre (CIC).

In an address delivered on this occasion, the President of the HCLA, Mr. Salah Belaïd, praised the special attention the President of the Republic pays to the Arabic language. He stated that the creation of this award constitutes "a qualitative achievement for national culture, reflecting the place the Arabic language occupies in State policies."
