The administration of the Annaba Mediterranean Film Festival announced in a statement this Sunday the opening of film submissions for the festival's sixth edition. Submissions will be accepted from January 8 to February 28, 2026, via the official digital platform, FilmFreeway.
The statement noted that participation in this cinematic event, which has become a prominent cultural milestone on both the national and Mediterranean levels, will include feature and short fiction films, as well as documentaries produced in countries within the Mediterranean Basin and beyond.
The statement added that the sixth edition aims to attract quality cinematic productions that align with the festival's artistic identity and reflect the diversity of Mediterranean creative experiences, while emphasizing support for works that address contemporary humanitarian and cultural issues.
According to the same statement, the Annaba Mediterranean Film Festival continues to enhance its international openness and consolidate its position on the film festival map. It also contributes to revitalizing the cultural scene and creating a space for cinematic dialogue and the exchange of expertise among directors, producers, and professionals.
In its statement, the festival administration called upon all filmmakers, producers, and distributors to submit their works within the specified deadlines, noting that the upcoming edition promises to be exceptional in terms of programming, content, and organization.
