ANPDP Launches Recruitment Drive for Controllers and Auditors

The National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (ANPDP) announced in a statement on Monday the launch of a recruitment drive for 60 controllers and 60 auditors. This initiative aims to strengthen the authority's workforce, enabling it to fully discharge its oversight and auditing mandates.

"This recruitment operation is part of the implementation of the State's efforts to strengthen the personal data protection system, uphold the principles of legality and transparency in data processing, and consolidate the ANPDP's human capabilities to allow it to fully carry out its oversight and audit missions," the source clarified.

The operation, which also reflects the current momentum within the National Authority, "aims to keep pace with the rapid evolution of digitalization and foster a culture of compliance with personal data protection rules, with a view to building trust among various actors and operators."

"The new recruits will be tasked with oversight and auditing missions at public and private institutions, as well as with individuals processing personal data. This is to ensure compliance with current legislation and regulations in this field and to guarantee the protection of individuals' rights and fundamental freedoms," the statement noted.
