Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, hosted a delegation from the University of Naples Parthenope (Italy), led by the university's Rector, Professor Antonio Garofalo, according to a ministry statement released on Wednesday.
During the meeting, held yesterday, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the public accelerator "Algeria Venture" in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Algeria, Alberto Cutillo, both parties examined ways to develop the necessary capacities for creating innovative ecosystems. They also discussed strengthening a common approach in the field of micro-enterprises, the source specified.
The visit's program, which falls within the framework of Algerian-Italian cooperation regarding the "development of entrepreneurial skills in Algeria," included presentations led by executives from the Ministry of the Knowledge Economy. These presentations focused on the startup ecosystem and mechanisms for promoting entrepreneurship, such as the National Agency for Support and Development of Entrepreneurship (NESDA), the National Agency for the Management of Micro-credit (ANGEM), and the National Agency for the Self-Entrepreneur (ANAE).
In this context, faculty members from the University of Naples Parthenope presented an overview of programs designed to strengthen entrepreneurial capacities within universities, as well as prospects for cooperation regarding sustainable development. According to the ministry statement, this initiative constitutes an important step in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.
