Prime Minister Mr. Sifi Ghrieb presided yesterday, Tuesday, over the first session of the National Investment Council (CNI), dedicated to assessing the national investment promotion framework, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office.
"In accordance with the directives of the President of the Republic, Prime Minister Mr. Sifi Ghrieb presided, this Tuesday, January 27, 2026, over the first session of the National Investment Council, convened under the provisions of Law No. 22-18 on investment, which was devoted to the evaluation of the national investment promotion framework with a view to enhancing its effectiveness," the statement indicated.
On this occasion, reports the same source, the Council reviewed the implementation status of the legislative provisions governing this framework, as well as measures intended to improve it, particularly through better addressing investor expectations.
The meeting was also marked by "the official launch of the development of the National Investment Strategy, intended to define the guidelines and priorities for public action regarding attractiveness, promotion, and guidance of investment in the medium and long term," according to the statement.
