The Ministry of Culture and Arts announced the opening of applications for the 2026 edition of the "Ali Maachi" President of the Republic Award for Young Creators. Nominations will be accepted from February 1 until March 15, according to a ministry statement issued this Wednesday.
The statement indicated that candidates wishing to participate in this annual competition, who have not exceeded the age of 35 as of January 1, are invited to submit their application files at the level of the Wilaya Cultural Directorates or via the Ministry of Culture and Arts' electronic platform at the following address:

The award covers both literary works (novels, poetry, and written theatrical works) and artistic works (musical works, vocal arts and dance, cinematic and audio-visual arts, theatrical arts—performance—and visual arts).
The participation file for this competition—which targets candidates aged between 18 and 35—must include, among other items, a handwritten request to participate, a sworn statement regarding ownership of the work, a curriculum vitae accompanied by a presentation of the candidate's portfolio, a copy of the work submitted for the competition, and a technical sheet for the participating work.
The "Ali Maachi" President of the Republic Award for Young Creators was established in 2006 by presidential decree and is directed at young creators who are no older than 35.
The prize is awarded to the winners of the top three places in each category on June 8 of every year, on the occasion of the National Artist Day.
