The Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation, Mrs. Amel Abdellatif, reaffirmed on Thursday in Algiers her sector's commitment to continuing the promotion of digital administration and the simplification of procedures for economic operators. This effort aims to strengthen trust in state institutions and anchor a modern national economy.
During a plenary session dedicated to oral questions at the National People's Assembly (APN), chaired by the Assembly's Vice-President, Mr. Toufik Guezout, and in the presence of the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Mrs. Najiba Djilali, the Minister explained that the sector will continue—in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune—to "work with determination and responsibility toward the promotion of digital administration, the simplification of procedures, and the improvement of reception conditions for economic operators. This is with a view to strengthening trust in state institutions and consolidating the foundations of a modern, transparent, and competitive national economy."
In this context, she highlighted the digital transformation being undergone by the sector's administrations, particularly the National Center for the Trade Register (CNRC). She noted that the CNRC has "made considerable progress in this direction" through the implementation of an integrated electronic system via its "Sidjilcom" portal. This platform allows economic operators to access most trade register services online, thereby contributing to the improvement of public service quality.
She also mentioned the strengthening of institutional coordination between the CNRC and the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI), the National Social Security Fund for Non-Salaried Workers (CASNOS), Customs, and the National Office of Statistics (ONS). This collaboration has made it possible to unify economic data and accelerate file processing.
Furthermore, she reported on a digital project currently underway aimed at allowing operators to submit their files to the CNRC without having to travel to the various administrations concerned.
Additionally, the integration of the declaration of the beneficial owner into the sector's digital system has contributed to the establishment of a national economic register based on transparency and the speed of data exchange, while guaranteeing the protection of personal data, she continued.
Separately, in response to a question from MP Mohamed Aziz regarding the creation of a national date market in the Daïra of Tolga (Wilaya of Biskra), the Minister specified that the creation of a permanent wholesale market for dates, fruits, and vegetables remains a strategic choice considered whenever the necessary technical and economic conditions are met. This applies particularly in Wilayas with an agricultural vocation and export potential.
In this regard, she recalled the existence of seasonal markets organized during harvest periods, which bring producers closer to consumers. She emphasized the importance of commercial spaces as a tool for regulating the national market and contributing to the improvement of distribution and supply conditions, particularly in the southern Wilayas.
In her response, Mrs. Abdellatif affirmed that her sector attaches particular importance to ensuring product availability, price stability, and improving supply throughout the national territory. She also noted that studies are being carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries to implement mechanisms allowing for the direct marketing of agricultural products from producer to consumer.
