The 15th edition of the Renewable Energies, Future Energies, and Sustainable Development Exhibition (ERA) opened this Monday at the Oran Convention Center (CCO), featuring the participation of 100 exhibitors.
The opening ceremony was presided over by the Central HSE Director of the Sonatrach Group, Abdelkrim Ouamer, in the presence of representatives from institutions, national and foreign companies, as well as energy sector experts.
Held under the theme of the "Energy Mix," this edition highlights the progress made in the fields of renewable energies, green hydrogen, and decarbonization, emphasized the Exhibition Commissioner, Mendili Abdelmadjid. He added that ERA constitutes a strategic hub fostering exchanges between economic and institutional actors, with the objective of promoting partnerships and cooperation contracts, particularly between private companies and major national groups.
The exhibition brings together nearly one hundred participants representing various sectors, including energy, industry, electricity, banking, and insurance, according to the same official.
Major energy groups, such as Sonatrach and its subsidiaries, are taking part in this edition. International companies from the United States, Italy, and China are also present, illustrating the growing interest in the Algerian energy market.
The water resources sector is represented by organizations such as ADC, SEAAL, ANBT, and the Gerhyd group, while scientific research is represented by the CRTSE, CDER, universities, and polytechnic schools.
The conference program will span three days and include 19 presentations and panels. The discussions will focus on technical aspects related to project optimization, organizational issues, and the legal framework, as well as the sharing of field experiences by partners and economic operators, with the notable participation of the Electricity and Gas Regulation Commission (CREG).
Through this edition, the ERA Exhibition aims to offer a platform for exchange for experts and decision-makers to identify challenges in the energy sector, propose concrete solutions, and support public policies regarding the energy transition in Algeria, all while raising awareness among the younger generation about the stakes of sustainable development, the organizers highlighted.
