IMF Managing Director: "Algeria’s Investments Are Starting to Bear Fruit"

The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, highlighted on Wednesday evening that "Algeria's investments have begun to bear fruit."

These remarks were made following her meeting with the Minister of Finance, Abdelkrim Bouzred, who was accompanied by a delegation from the Fund.

Kristalina Georgieva commended the performance of the Algerian economy, placing particular emphasis on the investments realized by the country over the past years in infrastructure and human capital.

For his part, Abdelkrim Bouzred reviewed the achievements accomplished in recent years. The Minister pointed to major national economic indicators, which are recording tangible improvement, particularly regarding growth and economic diversification.

It is noteworthy that the meeting took place on the eve of an international economic symposium organized by the IMF in partnership with the Bank of Algeria.
