The National Retirement Fund (CNR) is organizing an information and awareness event next Sunday at the Port of Algiers regarding the voluntary affiliation of members of the national community residing abroad to the retirement system, according to a statement issued today, Thursday, by the institution.
This initiative comes as a continuation of the national information and awareness campaign for members of the national community residing abroad who are present in the country during the summer season. It executes the directives of public authorities aimed at strengthening social protection for the diaspora and embodies the provisions of Executive Decree No. 22-351 relating to the voluntary affiliation of its members to the retirement system.
This activity falls within the framework of "accompanying members of the national diaspora residing abroad and enhancing direct communication with them by introducing them to the various rights and benefits offered by voluntary affiliation to the national retirement system, enabling them to benefit from a retirement pension in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations, as well as social coverage for sickness and maternity risks and access to the Chifa card."
This event will serve as an opportunity to explain the conditions and procedures for affiliation, as well as payment methods for contributions using international bank cards. It will also highlight the digital services provided by the National Retirement Fund, which "allow diaspora members to complete various transactions remotely with ease and security," alongside introducing the fund's electronic portal and the digital services it offers to socially insured individuals.
