The 20th edition of the International Pharmacy Exhibition (SIPHAL 2026) opened on Wednesday at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers, with the participation of more than 160 national and foreign exhibitors.
Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry and the Ministry of Health, the event will run until next Saturday and is expected to attract around 11,000 visitors, according to the organizers.
On the sidelines of the opening ceremony, the exhibition’s director, Yacine Louber, explained that this edition, held under the theme “Pharmacy of Tomorrow,” focuses on the sector’s future prospects, moving towards services that are increasingly geared to prevention, digitalization and personalized patient care.
The exhibition’s scientific programme includes lectures on the outlook for the national pharmaceutical industry, best practices, oncology, improved use of medical devices, as well as digitalization and the contribution of artificial intelligence to the pharmaceutical field.
Created 20 years ago, the International Pharmacy Exhibition has become an annual meeting point for many professionals from the pharmaceutical sector to discuss the challenges linked to production, regulation and technological innovation.
