The Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, highlighted on Saturday in Annaba that innovation constitutes an "imperative strategic choice for building a national economy based on knowledge and the energies of youth."
The Minister added, during the closing of the ACF EXPO 2026 – Algeria Entrepreneurship, Training & Digital Economy Exhibition, that the dynamic observed in the wilaya is a "practical example of the desired economic transformation," stressing that the integration of efforts between youth, local authorities, and innovation hubs reflects "the effectiveness of public policies supporting entrepreneurial initiative."
Ouadah indicated that the State has taken a series of measures to strengthen the innovation system, notably the creation of the "accelerated enterprise" (scale-up) label, the institution of the President of the Republic's Prize for the best startup, and the activation of tax incentives introduced in the Finance Law to support the transition of projects "from idea to production and export."
The Minister also highlighted, in the same context, the growing role of the "auto-entrepreneur" as an essential pillar of the national economy, recalling that the future vision consists of "integrating students, researchers, and national talents, both inside and outside the country, into the economic cycle while accompanying major technological transformations, foremost among them artificial intelligence."
The Minister concluded his speech by emphasizing "the continued support of the State for all youth initiatives through flexible and renewable mechanisms, in execution of the commitments of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aiming to build an economy focused on innovation and technology and to make youth the main actor of inclusive economic development."
