The Algerian national futsal team secured their place in the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations finals on Sunday evening.
This achievement followed a resounding 7–1 victory over their Guinean counterparts at the multi sports hall of the "Miloud Hadefi" Complex in Oran.
Playing the return leg of the second and final qualifying round, "The Greens" confirmed their dominance following a 4–0 victory in the first leg just days earlier.
Teammates of Rayane Aït Hammadouche asserted their control from the very first minutes, dominating the flow of the match.
"The Greens" opened the scoring in the 2nd minute through Amar Bessa via a direct free kick. However, the Guineans managed to equalize in the 13th minute courtesy of Jean Louis Koum.
The national squad regained the lead thanks to goals from Rayane Aït Hammadouche and Walid Riyache, ending the first half with a 3–1 advantage.
In the second half, the national team lowered the tempo, adopting an organized defensive style while relying on counter-attacks, a strategy that allowed them to add four more goals to their tally.
