Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb chaired a joint ministerial council meeting on Monday dedicated to reviewing the progress of the Integrated Phosphate Project, which is structured across three Wilayas—Tebessa, Souk Ahras, and Annaba—according to a statement by the Prime Minister's services.

The same source explained that "this concerns a major project for the development of the national mining and industrial sector, which boasts exploitable reserves amounting to 840 million tons of phosphate, and aims for an annual production of 10.5 million tons of raw phosphate."

During the meeting, "a set of measures was adopted to strengthen inter-sectoral coordination and mobilize all necessary means to meet the deadlines set by the President of the Republic for completing this project on schedule, slated for the end of 2026," according to the same statement.
