Here is the translation of full arabic text of the message of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of the National Day of the Chahid, February 18:
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and prayers and peace be upon the most noble of Messengers.
Fellow citizens,
In honor of the righteous martyrs... and in reverence for their sacrifices, on the National Day of the Chahid, we commemorate the memory of women and men who dignified Algeria with what Allah dignified them with: faith and might to defeat colonialism, and attachment to honor and freedom... They entrusted the Algerian people with the values of the blessed Liberation Revolution and the loftiness of its goals.
On this occasion, we stand with gratitude and pride to express the duty of loyalty and steadfastness on the path, as we continue—in this phase—to face challenges to complete the march we started—together—since the beginning of the decade. We take great pride that its foundation was loyalty to the martyrs, its engine is the sincere patriotic spirit, and its goal is the elevation of Algeria.
It is a march that shifted conditions from where the country was on the brink of danger to a climate of trust and hope in a New Algeria, embraced by the people engaging in a dynamic of sustainable development, the manifestations of which are distributed across the vast regions of the country.
Praise be to Allah, despite the difficulties of the march, we have covered stages that have made our dear country a construction site, teeming with landmarks of work, building, and reconstruction in all wilayas. We have transformed it into a pole of stability attracting local and foreign investments, as testified by the most credible figures... and recognized by concerned institutions.
It is our conviction that what has been achieved is but a token of loyalty to the martyrs whose memory we stand in reverence of on this occasion, and a witness to the constant sensing of the people's trust, whose hopes and aspirations remain the guide for the march... towards the promise of the emerging State.
As we celebrate the National Day of the Chahid on the eighteenth (18) of February, we evoke the glory of the martyrs whose pure souls hover—constantly—in the skies of Algeria, pushing our steps forward and inspiring us all with pride and loftiness.
And as I pray for mercy with you for all the honorable and free women and men who resisted over the decades... and the heroic revolutionaries, martyrs of the Liberation Revolution, I salute the Mujahidates and Mujahideen—may Allah prolong their lives—who continue to sow seeds of loyalty and blessing on this pure land... and raise prayers for the preservation of Algeria and its people.
Long Live Algeria.
Glory and Eternity to our Righteous Martyrs.
Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah the Almighty and His blessings."
