The Minister of the Interior, Local Communities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud, received on Monday the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Algeria, Mr. Ramiro Fernández Bachiller, at his request, the ministry said in a statement.
The same source explained that this meeting, which took place in the presence of the ministry's central executives, provided an opportunity to exchange views on ways to develop bilateral cooperation, particularly in various modes of transport, security cooperation, and road safety, as well as to discuss prospects for expanding the partnership between the two countries.
On this occasion, Mr. Sayoud emphasized "Algeria's commitment to strengthening cooperation relations with the Kingdom of Spain, as a friendly nation, and to working towards elevating the bilateral partnership to serve mutual interests," while highlighting the importance of enhancing training, exchanging expertise, and benefiting from successful experiences in areas of common interest.
During the meeting, both parties praised the "positive level of cooperation existing between Algeria and the Kingdom of Spain," and reaffirmed their shared willingness to continue developing and elevating it to broader horizons to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
