The Minister of Communication, Mr. Zoheir Bouamama, carried out an inspection visit to the "Tahar Djaout" Press House and its "Abdelkader Safir" annex in Algiers, where he met with several newspaper publishers and heads of private electronic websites, the ministry said in a statement.
During the visit, which took place on Sunday, the minister listened to "the concerns of journalists and staff, while inquiring about the condition of the headquarters of the media outlets located at the Press House and its annex," the same source specified.
In this regard, Mr. Bouamama emphasized that the Ministry of Communication "has requested the registration of a rehabilitation project for these structures under the draft budget for the 2027 fiscal year, in order to improve the working environment," the statement concluded.
