The Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mr. Mourad Adjal, presided this Monday over a meeting dedicated to the examination and follow-up of a set of strategic files related to the sector's activity and management, indicates a ministry statement.
Held at the ministry's headquarters in the presence of several central executives, the meeting allowed for the examination of several essential axes, notably risk mapping and the situation of the Aïn Oussara (Djelfa) and Oumache (Biskra) power plants.
The meeting was also an opportunity to inquire about the progress of works related to the construction of a power plant in Niger, inscribed within the framework of the cooperation file between Algeria and Niger in the field of energy.
Mr. Adjal, moreover, listened to technical and evaluation presentations given by the concerned executives, highlighting "the major importance of these files with a view to strengthening the sector's performance and guaranteeing the continuity and reliability of the public service provided to citizens," adds the statement.
In this context, the minister insisted on the optimal handling of energy projects and infrastructures, as well as respect for completion deadlines and quality standards, in order to improve the level of public service, support economic development, and consolidate the sector's role as an essential lever for achieving national energy security.
Furthermore, Mr. Adjal gave a series of guidelines and instructions aimed at accelerating the pace of project completion, strengthening coordination between the different actors, and ensuring field follow-up of the implementation of decisions taken.
