The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Omar Rekkache, received the Belgian Ambassador to Algeria, Jacques Queria, this Wednesday. They discussed ways to develop mutual investments and encourage the establishment of bilateral partnerships in priority sectors for both countries, according to a statement by the Agency.
During this meeting, held at the Agency's headquarters, both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying communication between economic operators and institutions in the two countries. They also discussed working on establishing coordination mechanisms to organize business meetings and joint economic forums that would allow for the exploration of investment and partnership opportunities.
The meeting focused on a number of strategic sectors of mutual interest, such as agriculture, energy, and the pharmaceutical industry.
The two parties also discussed ways to establish a joint business council that would enhance communication between economic operators in both countries.
In this regard, Mr. Rekkache highlighted the "pivotal role" played by the Agency in accompanying foreign investors and facilitating the materialization of their projects in Algeria, reviewing the advantages and incentives provided by the legal framework for investment.
