The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) invited Algerian economic operators active in the food industry, in a statement released on Monday, to participate in the international food exhibition "SIAL Canada 2026." The event is scheduled to take place from April 29 to May 1, 2026, in Montreal, Canada, with the aim of exploring North American market trends and export opportunities for Algerian products.
The statement explained that the event, which will be hosted at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, is one of the most prominent international exhibitions in the food industry. It is expected to attract over 1,000 exhibitors from 44 countries, alongside approximately 21,000 professional visitors, including importers, distributors, retail chains, restaurateurs, and institutional actors.
The exhibition covers several sectors, notably food and beverages, dairy, and fresh produce, in addition to retail chains, restaurants, packaging, logistics, and supply chains.
The agency emphasized that this event represents an excellent opportunity for Algerian companies to boost the presence of national products in the Canadian and American markets, forge international trade partnerships, and explore North American market trends and export opportunities.
