Oil prices dropped by 9% this Tuesday, after hitting their highest level in more than three years during the previous session.
Brent crude futures dropped by more than $9, falling to $89.58 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also decreased by $9, reaching $85.77.
Oil prices had surged above $100 per barrel on Monday, reaching intraday highs of $119.50 for Brent crude and $119.48 for West Texas Intermediate (WTI), their highest levels since mid-2022.
