Channel 2 of Algerian Radio will launch the 4th edition of the citizen initiative "We, Children of Tomorrow" next Saturday, in support of children with cancer.
"Following the success of previous editions, this solidarity operation returns this year to reaffirm the institution's commitment to children, placing the well-being of future generations at the heart of national concerns," read a statement from the director of the Amazigh-speaking channel.
As part of this initiative, scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a nationwide citizen tour will be organized across four wilayas (Annaba, Boussaâda, Boumerdès, and Sidi Bel Abbès). For the occasion, Channel 2's editorial and technical teams will travel across these regions to meet with citizens and the relevant institutions.
During this tour, and through a special broadcast, the organizers aim to assess the state of social and medical support for children in these regions. They also intend to highlight the latest therapeutic innovations and advancements in pediatrics and specialized care, while working to unite various stakeholders by creating a direct bridge between parents, associations, and healthcare professionals.
Participants and listeners of the channel will be able to follow live panel discussions featuring doctors, experts, and civil society representatives. Parents of sick children and association representatives will also be given a voice to share their concerns and proposals.
"A rich cultural and recreational program full of activities is also planned to bring smiles back to the children's faces, with gifts and awards distributed to the children in attendance in a warm and friendly atmosphere," Channel 2 promised.
By renewing this initiative for the fourth time, Algerian Radio reaffirms its commitment to continuously stand by those who will build the Algeria of tomorrow, the statement concluded.
