The Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, chaired the installation ceremony of the new composition of the National Labeling Committee on Saturday in Algiers. The committee is tasked with awarding the "innovative project," "startup," "incubator," and "accelerator" labels, as part of the renewal of its membership, a ministry statement indicated.

This Committee serves as "the beating heart of the startup ecosystem in Algeria, by examining all labeling requests across its four categories, as well as assessing the needs related to launching, scaling, and import programs," the same source specified.

During the installation ceremony, the minister's representative in charge of startups, Chamseddine Bamoussat, was appointed as the new chairman of the Committee. Several new members, representing various ministerial sectors alongside national experts, have also joined the Committee.

This renewal is part of efforts aimed at "enhancing the efficiency of the Committee's work and embedding the principles of transparency and good governance in the labeling process, to ensure an objective and rigorous evaluation of projects and initiatives."

It also aims to support the innovation ecosystem and encourage entrepreneurial initiatives and high-value-added projects, thereby contributing to stimulating economic development and strengthening the competitiveness of the national economy.
