Channel 2 of Algerian Radio launched this Saturday, from the wilaya of Sidi Bel Abbès, the 4th edition of its citizen initiative "We, Children of Tomorrow," in support of children with cancer.

"Following the success of previous editions, this solidarity operation returns this year to reaffirm the institution's commitment to children, placing the well-being of future generations at the heart of national concerns," stated the management of the Amazigh-speaking radio channel in a press release.

The kickoff for this new edition of "We, Children of Tomorrow" took place at the Kateb Yacine Cultural Center in Sidi Bel Abbès, featuring a recreational activity for children with cancer, alongside a gift distribution for children in the oncology department of Ibn Rushd Hospital in Annaba.

Other similar activities are also planned to bring smiles back to the children's faces, with gifts and awards distributed to the children in attendance in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

To ensure the success of this solidarity operation, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. across four wilayas—Sidi Bel Abbès, Annaba, Boussaâda, and Boumerdès—Radio Channel 2 mobilized its editorial and technical teams. Their mission is to travel across these regions to meet with sick children, give them a voice, and involve the personnel in charge of the medical and support facilities caring for them.

In support of this initiative—organized with the backing of mobile telecom operator Mobilis and confectionery manufacturer Caprice—Radio Channel 2 is hosting a special broadcast. The program aims to assess the state of social and medical support for children with cancer, highlight the latest therapeutic innovations and advancements in pediatrics and specialized care, and work to unite various stakeholders by creating a direct bridge between parents, associations, and healthcare professionals.

Participants and listeners of the channel will be able to follow live panel discussions featuring doctors, experts, and civil society representatives. Parents of sick children and association representatives will also be given a voice to share their concerns and proposals.
