More than 150 national and international exhibitors are expected to participate in the 8th edition of the International Exhibition for Investment in Industry, Construction, Energy, Logistics, and Export ("Algeria Invest Expo"). The event is scheduled to take place from March 26 to 29 at the Mohamed Ben Ahmed Convention Center in Oran, according to the event's commissioner, Ahmed Haniche.

Organized under the patronage of the Minister of Industry, the exhibition will bring together approximately 130 national public and private enterprises specializing in industry and exports. It will also feature the participation of foreign companies and representatives of international corporate branches operating in Algeria, hailing from China, Italy, Turkey, India, and other countries.

In a statement to the Algeria Press Service (APS), Mr. Haniche highlighted that this international exhibition will witness strong participation from public economic groups operating in the fields of electrical industry, energy, electronics, chemistry, construction, wood and its derivatives, and mining. The event aims to create an effective dynamic among operators, encourage public subcontracting and investment partnerships, and provide a platform for exchange between professionals and economic operators.

He further added that the event aligns with the "unprecedented vitality of economic development witnessed by Algeria, which coincides with the launch of major strategic economic projects in heavy industries and the creation of an economic dynamic outside the hydrocarbon sector."

To encourage the youth, a dedicated exhibition space has been allocated for 30 startups from various universities and holders of innovative projects. This will allow them to engage with economic actors and explore opportunities to materialize and finance their projects, the source added.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, organized at the initiative of the "Sunflower Communication" agency, several lectures and panel discussions will be held. Topics will cover renewable energies, "developing the industrial fabric through subcontracting, logistics, and export," "supporting exporters," sustainable industrial development, carbon footprint reduction, smart energy demand management, win-win partnerships, and "encouraging investment and promoting exports," among others.

Additionally, a competition will be organized to award the best participating projects that demonstrate a positive impact on innovation, the environment, and sustainable development, it was noted.
