Dakar Open 2026: Algeria to Participate with 31 Judokas

The Algerian national judo team (seniors/men and women) will participate with 31 judokas in the Dakar Open 2026, scheduled for March 29 in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, according to the organizers.

Algeria is the most represented country in this tournament, ahead of the host nation Senegal (26 judokas), Angola (14), and Niger (13).

The National Technical Directorate of the Algerian Judo Federation has selected a squad comprising:

Men:
Mounir Benyahia (-60 kg), Younes Benlaribi (-60 kg), Kais Moudetir (-66 kg), Ayoub Benlaribi (-73 kg), Houd Zourdani (-73 kg), Djeddi Oussama (-73 kg), Dris Messaoud (-73 kg), Oussama Hezil (-73 kg), Ahmed Rebahi (-81 kg), Abdelmoumen Houam (-81 kg), Mohamed Bekhti (-81 kg), Abdeslam Belbelhout (-81 kg), Sid Ali Benaboura (-90 kg), Mohamed Dif (-90 kg), Lokmane Daroul (-90 kg), Oussama Kabri (-90 kg), Rayane Benattia (-100 kg), Abdelkader Lakhal (-100 kg), Mohamed El Mahdi Lili (+100 kg), and Samir Moula (+100 kg).

Women:
Rahma Ghalima (-48 kg), Houaria Kaddour (-48 kg), Lycia Kebli (-52 kg), Norhane Ghazali (-57 kg), Dounia Berrahoual (-57 kg), Amina Berrahoual (-57 kg), Khadidja Bekhira (-57 kg), Yasmine Djellab (-63 kg), Amina Rezzoug (-70 kg), Lydia Kechout (-78 kg), and Dihya Benchallal (+78 kg).

This sporting event will witness the participation of 167 judokas (106 men and 61 women) representing 29 countries from four continents, with the competition taking place over a single day (March 29).

The tournament will also see participation from several other nations, such as Romania, South Africa, Mali, and Benin, each represented by a single judoka.
