People's National Assembly Delegation Participates in the Parliamentary Conference Organized on the Sidelines of the 14th World Trade Organization Ministerial Conference in Cameroon

A delegation from the People's National Assembly (APN) will participate tomorrow, Wednesday, in Yaoundé (Cameroon), in the proceedings of the Parliamentary Conference organized on the sidelines of the 14th World Trade Organization (WTO) Ministerial Conference, according to a statement issued by the Assembly this Tuesday.

The same source stated that “the Vice-President of the APN, Mr. Mohamed Nini, along with deputies Azzi Ben Thabet and Tidjani Mohammed El Hafedh, will participate in the Parliamentary Conference organized on the sidelines of the 14th WTO Ministerial Conference,” scheduled to be held in the Cameroonian capital, Yaoundé.

This conference brings together “nearly 400 lawmakers on the sidelines of each WTO Ministerial Conference, serving as a permanent mechanism for parliamentary oversight of the World Trade Organization”. It aims to “add a parliamentary dimension to its work, thereby contributing to the enhancement of transparency and accountability in global trade,” according to the same statement.
