Secretary General of the African Petroleum Producers' Organization on a Working Visit to Algeria

The Secretary General of the African Petroleum Producers' Organization (APPO), Farid Ghazali, begins a working visit to Algeria this Sunday as part of his participation in the 8th conference of the Algerian Gas Industry Association (AIG), scheduled for March 30 and 31, 2026, at the Mohamed Ben Ahmed Convention Center in Oran.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons published this Sunday, Farid Ghazali will participate as a strategic keynote speaker. He will deliver a presentation on the theme: "Natural Gas at the Service of Africa: Energy Sovereignty, Industrialization, and African Cooperation, the African Petroleum Producers' Organization as a Driving Force."

This participation is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen strategic discussions on the role of natural gas in supporting the development of the African continent and promoting cooperation among African hydrocarbon-producing countries. This, in turn, contributes to achieving energy sovereignty, stimulating industrialization, and fostering continental integration.
