Eighty preliminary partnership agreements in the fields of investment and export were concluded during the eighth edition of the International Exhibition of Investment in Industry, Construction, Energy, Logistics, and Export, "Algeria Invest Expo," which wrapped up its activities this Sunday at the Mohamed Ben Ahmed Convention Center in Oran.

The exhibition's commissioner, Ahmed Haniche, explained in a statement that these agreements were signed between national operators—from both public and private enterprises—and their foreign counterparts. They cover several branches, notably the export of various products to African countries, such as building materials, electrical and home appliances, and services.

On this occasion, two direct export agreements were also signed concerning building materials, wood, and its derivatives to Tunisia and Mauritania. This is in addition to investment agreements to establish factories and production units in various industrial fields, particularly building materials and home appliances, in several African countries, including Guinea, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

This economic event, organized over four days on the initiative of the "Sunflower Communication" agency and under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Industry, witnessed the attendance of businessmen from Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, and Pakistan specializing in the import sector. Their goal was to establish commercial partnerships with national enterprises and open new horizons for exporting Algerian products.

The event also welcomed visits from around 30 commercial attachés representing 30 embassies accredited to Algeria from Africa, Asia, and Europe, to explore direct investment opportunities and promote the export of national products.

The exhibition recorded a remarkable turnout of professionals, with the number of visitors exceeding 15,000 from various wilayas of the country, alongside businessmen and representatives of diplomatic missions. Furthermore, there was significant interest from students and project holders looking to create micro-enterprises in various fields, according to the same source.

On this occasion, five public and private enterprises were honored as part of a competition for the best projects with a positive impact in the areas of economy, environment, sustainable development, innovation, and export.

This edition saw the participation of 153 national and foreign exhibitors. Among them were around 130 national companies representing over 80 percent of the total participants, alongside foreign companies and branches of international companies operating in Algeria, particularly from China, Italy, Turkey, and India.

The exhibition also featured seminars and panel discussions on several topics, including renewable energies, industrial development through sourcing, logistics and support for exporters, sustainable industry and carbon emission reduction, smart energy demand management, as well as economic partnerships and the encouragement of investment and export.

In parallel, the same venue hosted the African Exhibition for Construction, Infrastructure, and Technology under the slogan "Innovation, Technology, and Construction for the Africa of Tomorrow." This event saw the participation of enterprises and operators from Algeria and other African countries specializing in the fields of construction, public works, infrastructure, and urban planning.
