President of the Tunisian CNRD Highlights the Importance of Consolidating Privileged Algerian-Tunisian Relations

The President of the National Council of Regions and Districts (CNRD) of the Republic of Tunisia, Mr. Imed Derbali, stressed on Tuesday in Algiers the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and consolidating the privileged relations between Algeria and Tunisia, serving the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

In a press statement following the audience granted to him and his accompanying delegation by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Derbali stated that he had conveyed to the President of the Republic the greetings of his brother, the President of the Tunisian Republic, Mr. Kaïs Saïed. He specified that the meeting focused on "the privileged relations uniting the two countries."

On this occasion, emphasis was placed on "the importance of strengthening cooperation and consolidating relations, serving the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples," he added, noting that the various stages of their shared historical struggle were also discussed during the audience.

The audience was attended by the President of the Council of the Nation, Mr. Azouz Nasri; the Director of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Boualem Boualem; the Advisor to the President of the Republic in Charge of Diplomatic Affairs, Mr. Amar Abba; and the Advisor to the President of the Republic in Charge of Economic Affairs, Mr. Farid Kourtel.
