The Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Noureddine Ouadhah, received the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mrs. Selma Malika Haddadi. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation at the continental level in the field of innovation, according to a ministry statement issued this Thursday.
The same source explained that during this meeting, which took place yesterday, Wednesday, in Algiers, the sector’s Minister reviewed the accelerating dynamics of the start-up ecosystem in Algeria and ways to strengthen them through intensified cooperation at the continental level.
The meeting also addressed ways to enhance cooperation with the African Union in several areas related to the knowledge economy and innovation, including funding mechanisms for scientific research, technological development, and innovation. According to the same source, this aims to double the number of start-ups at the African level and strengthen their positive impact on the new knowledge-based economy.
