The Algerian Football Federation (FAF), in collaboration with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), launched on Tuesday at the new Regional Technical Center in Tlemcen the first training workshop under the "FIFA Football for Schools" program in Algeria, the federal body announced on its official website.

The workshop was opened by Karim Kaced, head of the training department at the National Technical Directorate (DTN), in the presence of Alaeddine Aissani, head of sports organization and in charge of school football, as well as representatives from the Algerian School Sports Federation (FASS).

This workshop, which brings together 30 physical education teachers from various school cycles across the country, including 15 women, spans a three-day period. It is supervised by FIFA-affiliated instructors, namely Antonio Buenano, Melvyn Mendy, and Jessica Houara-D’hommeaux. The training program combines theoretical sessions with practical field sessions.

The "FIFA Football for Schools" program is a global educational and sporting initiative launched by FIFA. It aims to integrate football into school systems to foster learning, personal development, and physical activity among students.

This training also aims to enable teachers to use football as a pedagogical tool, strengthen their skills in sporting and educational animation, and promote values such as respect, inclusion, and team spirit.
