The Algerian U17 national team has resumed preparations for their upcoming quarter-final match against Tanzania in the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled for this Sunday at 14:00, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced.
According to the FAF's official website, the squad returned to training after a rest day, with morale high following their well-deserved qualification for the quarter-finals. The coaching staff focused on technical and tactical aspects during the session, which took place at the team's residence starting at 6:00 PM.
The national team will be without the services of Yacine Abed for the match against Tanzania due to a suspension resulting from an accumulation of yellow cards in the first round. He will be eligible to return should "Les Verts" advance to the semi-finals.
In a related development, a technical meeting for the quarter-final matches was held at the competition headquarters to discuss various organizational and legal aspects of the upcoming fixture.
