Algeria, Belarus Sign Parliamentary Cooperation Memorandum in Minsk

A memorandum of parliamentary cooperation was signed on Monday in Minsk between Algeria’s People’s National Assembly (APN) and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, according to an APN statement.

The memorandum was signed by APN Speaker Brahim Boughali and the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Igor Sergeyenko, the statement specified.

The agreement, which aims to "consolidate parliamentary relations between the two legislative institutions," provides for "the establishment of cooperation mechanisms, the activation of parliamentary friendship groups, as well as the organization of joint training sessions and seminars," the statement added.

It also covers the "exchange of information and expertise in the fields of legislation, parliamentary oversight, and administrative management," thereby contributing to "boosting institutional performance and strengthening partnership relations between the two countries."
