The 23rd edition of the "Djazagro" professional agri-food production exhibition will be held from April 12 to 15 at the Palais des Expositions, Pins Maritimes (Algiers), with the participation of over 600 national and foreign exhibitors from 28 countries, the organizers announced on Wednesday.
This edition will be marked by a strong presence of Algerian producers, with more than 150 participating companies, stated the exhibition commissioner, Nabil Bey-Boumezrag, during a press conference in Algiers.
Alongside them, foreign pavilions, including those from Italy, Turkiye, China, and Germany, will exhibit agri-food equipment as well as processing and packaging solutions.
Companies from Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, and Tunisia, will also take part in this event. The 2026 edition will place particular emphasis on innovation, notably through the "Djaz'Innov" competition.
"The winners, selected beforehand by a jury of independent experts, will be rewarded with gold, silver, and bronze medals during a ceremony scheduled for the official opening of the exhibition," Mr. Bey-Boumezrag specified.
More than 26,000 professional visitors, seeking new suppliers, technical solutions, and business opportunities, are expected.
"The event constitutes a privileged meeting platform between producers and industrialists, offering a wide range of equipment and machinery dedicated to agri-food processing, as well as conditioning and packaging," the exhibition commissioner emphasized, highlighting the importance of packaging to improve the competitiveness of Algerian products on international markets.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, conferences and workshops will be organized, focusing notably on exports as a growth lever, the valorization of agricultural by-products, food security, green innovation, the circular economy, as well as the packaging sector in Algeria.
