Oil prices rose on Thursday as concerns regarding potential supply disruptions resurfaced.
Brent crude futures climbed by $2.6, or 2.74%, reaching $97.35 per barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures increased by $3.02, or 3.2%, to settle at $97.43 per barrel.
In the previous session, both benchmark crudes had fallen below $100 per barrel, with WTI recording its sharpest decline since April 2020.
