The National Bank of Algeria (BNA) announced in a statement on Wednesday the launch of an educational publication titled "The Financial Education Book," designed for primary school students as part of its efforts to promote financial literacy.
According to the bank, the book was launched on the occasion of National Knowledge Day, celebrated annually on April 16. It aims to introduce young students to basic concepts related to money—how it is earned and managed—as well as the importance of saving, controlling expenditures, and making rational financial decisions.
The document features activities and educational challenges using modern pedagogical methods, such as illustrations, comparative examples, and interactive content, to make financial concepts accessible and easy to understand for this age group.
The BNA specified that the book will be available in a printed version, to be distributed during economic events, open house days, and on International Children’s Day. A digital version will also be posted on the bank’s official website.
This publication is the first in a series that will be followed by two additional books tailored for middle and high school students, the same source added.
Through this initiative, the BNA intends to strengthen the financial education of younger generations, promote financial inclusion, and contribute to the development of citizens capable of making informed economic decisions, all within the framework of its corporate social responsibility.
