The Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, received this Monday in Algiers the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Chad, Mathieu Guibolo Fanga. The two officials discussed ways and means to strengthen economic and trade cooperation and partnership between the two countries, the ministry indicated in a communiqué.
The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters on the sidelines of the opening of the first session of the Algerian-Chadian Business Council, provided an opportunity to exchange views on strengthening economic and trade relations. This reflects the shared commitment of Algeria and Chad to develop bilateral partnerships and expand the scope of trade exchanges.
The two parties also discussed the possibility of organizing an exhibition of Algerian products in the Republic of Chad to introduce national production capacities, highlight the diversity and quality of Algerian products, and pave the way for Algerian economic operators to access the Chadian market and explore available partnership opportunities, the statement added.
In this context, the two officials reaffirmed the importance of encouraging direct exchanges between businessmen from both countries through the Algerian-Chadian Business Council and intensifying joint economic initiatives to contribute to the growth of trade exchanges, the communiqué concluded.
