Gymnast Kaylia Nemour won two new gold medals on Sunday during the fourth and final day of the 2026 African Championships (WAG), currently taking place in Yaoundé, Cameroon, after dominating the balance beam and floor exercise competitions, respectively.
The 2024 Olympic champion began by scoring 14.166 in the balance beam competition, securing first place ahead of her compatriot Djenna Laroui, who earned the silver medal with a score of 12.233.
Later in the day, Nemour repeated the feat in the floor exercise competition, where she also finished in first place with a score of 13.100.
Having already triumphed on the uneven bars—where they earned gold (14.400) and bronze (12.866) respectively—Nemour and Laroui also dominated the all-around competition, securing a historic qualification for Algeria for the upcoming World Championships in the discipline, scheduled for Rotterdam, Netherlands.
