The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received this Monday at the Ministry's headquarters the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Elmedin Konaković, who is on an official visit to Algeria, according to a ministry statement.
On this occasion, the Minister of State held a private meeting with his Bosnian counterpart, followed by an expanded working session involving the delegations of both countries, according to the same statement.
The source explained that the talks between the two ministers allowed for “reviewing the reality of bilateral relations between Algeria and the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and exploring ways to consolidate them in line with the complementary advantages both countries possess, whether regarding economic fields such as energy, mining, industry, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture, or in human-centered sectors such as higher education, tourism, and media.”
In this context, both parties agreed to “strengthen the institutional framework of bilateral relations through the creation of a joint governmental committee and a joint business council,' according to the same statement.”
On the multilateral level, “the two ministers discussed international and regional issues of common interest, primarily the escalation in the Middle East and the developments of the war in Ukraine, as well as the updates in the respective regions of the two countries, the Balkans and the Sahel-Saharan region,” the statement added.
At the conclusion of the talks, the two ministers signed a bilateral agreement regarding cooperation in the field of diplomatic training.
