The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Omar Rekkache, announced on Tuesday in Algiers that new regulatory texts governing the activities of AAPI’s single windows will be published within a week, which will improve the management of investors.
The announcement was made during a dialogue session at the second session of a meeting organized at the Abdelatif-Rahal International Conference Center (CIC) by the firm PwC to present the results of the "PwC CEO Survey" international study. Organized in collaboration with the Council for Algerian Economic Renewal (CREA), the event was attended by members of the government, heads of economic bodies and companies, and experts.
During his address, Mr. Rekkache specified that "these new texts governing the activity of the single windows will be published within a week, following their approval by the Government."
Describing the publication of these texts as an "important step in the process of improving the business climate," the DG of AAPI emphasized that the objective is to transform the single windows into "a true one-stop interface at the service of investors," capable of improving their management and removing all obstacles.
The development of these texts was carried out in consultation with CREA, he added, noting that an information day will soon be organized to present the details.
