The 12th edition of the Africa Investment and Trade Forum opened Saturday in Algiers under the theme "Together We Open Markets." The event features extensive international participation from economic actors, experts, and financial and development institutions.
The opening ceremony of the forum—organized by the Arab-African Investment and Development Center (CAAID) in partnership with the African Union (AU), the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), and the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (Zlecaf), took place in the presence of the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, and the Minister of Youth in charge of the Superior Council of Youth, Mr. Moustafa Hidaoui
This two-day meeting, which will see the signing of several agreements, aims to move from the stage of exchanging visions to activating practical partnerships. It focuses on productive investment, the development of intra-African trade, and facilitating market access in line with the new trends of the African economy.
The forum serves as a continental platform for exchanging expertise and knowledge, bringing together businessmen, investors, and representatives of economic and financial institutions, along with chambers of commerce and regional and international organizations, to discuss cooperation opportunities and explore new horizons for shared economic growth.
The event also seeks to support sustainable economic partnerships and bolster joint efforts to achieve comprehensive development, in accordance with the goals of the Africa Agenda 2063, which places economic integration at the heart of its strategic priorities.
