Ahmed Attaf Holds Talks in Cairo with his Egyptian Counterpart on Strengthening Bilateral Partnership and Regional Issues

Within the framework of the official visit he is paying to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held talks yesterday in Cairo with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, Mr. Badr Abdelatty.

These talks were dedicated to conducting an in-depth and comprehensive assessment of the progress made in implementing the decisions from the recent meeting of the Joint Higher Committee. This covered both the consolidation of partnership in economic fields, such as trade, investment, industry, energy, infrastructure, and housing, and the promotion of human and cultural relations, in line with the bonds of brotherhood and historical solidarity uniting the two countries and peoples.

The two ministers also exchanged views and analyses regarding a number of current issues and files on both the Arab and African levels, particularly the Palestinian cause and developments in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf region in general, as well as the latest developments in Sudan, Libya, and the Sahel-Sahara region.
