On Wednesday, alongside other Muslim nations, Algerians celebrated Eid Al-Adha in a special atmosphere imbued with piety, solidarity, and joy, marked by a deep attachment to ancestral traditions and customs.

From the early hours of the day, crowds of worshippers flocked to mosques resonating with invocations and "Takbirs," reflecting a solemn devotion rooted in the core precepts of Islam.

This religious holiday also serves as an opportunity to strengthen family ties and the values of brotherhood. Once the Eid prayer concluded, Algerians proceeded with the ritual sacrifice of the sheep, in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet Ibrahim El Khalil (peace be upon him). The joyful atmosphere is especially cherished by children, who proudly display their happiness while wearing their finest clothes and neatest hairstyles.

In homes, women busily prepared exquisite dishes passed down from mothers to daughters. The primary ingredients are the tripe and offal of the sacrificed sheep, combined with fragrant spices that give these slow-cooked meals a rich flavor increasingly recognized abroad. Whether it is "Douara," "Bakbouka," or "Ousbanes," these emblematic specialties of Algerian gastronomy have consistently claimed top prizes at international culinary competitions in recent years.

Thanks to the importation of one million head of sheep, offered at affordable prices, many families across the country were able to perform the ritual sacrifice.

The month of Dhu al-Hijjah is also observed by many citizens eager to strengthen their faith through fasting, reciting the Holy Quran, and engaging in various acts of solidarity.

Many members of the national community living abroad also chose to spend Eid in Algeria with their families and loved ones, enjoying an atmosphere unmatched anywhere else in the world.

Organizational measures were implemented at airports and ports to ensure smooth passenger travel.

For its part, the Algerian Bus Station Operating Company (Sogral) scheduled 2,200 additional routes nationwide, providing 103,000 extra seats distributed across various stations in the country.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation mobilized 53,771 merchants nationwide to ensure continuous service during the days of Eid Al-Adha.

In a similar vein, the Minister of Hydraulics, Lounès Bouzegza, ordered continuous drinking water supply for the population throughout Eid Al-Adha, ensuring rapid interventions in the event of any disruptions.
