In a statement released on Tuesday, the National Association of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (NATC) urged professionals assigned to the Eid Al-Adha duty roster to strictly adhere to the schedule established by the Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation across all municipalities in the country.
The Association emphasized the necessity of respecting the duty roster—which falls under public service obligations—to ensure a stable supply of essential consumer goods during the Eid holidays. Compliance with current laws is also required to avoid potential penalties, such as business closures or financial fines, in accordance with the provisions of Law 13-06 amending and supplementing Law 84-88 on the practice of commercial activities.
The statement indicated that the number of operators mobilized by the Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation—totaling 53,771 professionals—is sufficient to meet public demand. This workforce covers all activities related to widely consumed goods and services, including bakeries, butcher shops, fruit and vegetable vendors, and general grocery stores, in addition to flour mills, dairies, and mineral water production plants.
Furthermore, gas stations and bus terminals will remain open throughout the Eid holiday, added the NATC statement, which also called on motorists to respect traffic laws and avoid violations that could result in loss of life.
