The Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, General Saïd Chanegriha, chaired today, Saturday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defence, the congratulations ceremony on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, according to a statement by the Ministry of National Defence.
The same source explained that "the ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Land Forces, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defence, the Commanders of the Forces, the Director of the Cabinet at the Ministry of National Defence, the Commander of the First Military Region, the heads of departments, the Comptroller General of the Army, as well as directors and heads of central services at the Ministry of National Defence and the General Staff of the People's National Army."
And on this occasion, "the General was keen to convey to them the congratulations of the President of the Republic, and in turn extended his sincere congratulations to the attendees, and through them, to all the Algerian people."
He said in this regard: "At the outset, I would like to convey to you the congratulations of Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, on the occasion of our country's celebration of the blessed Eid al-Adha. In turn, on this auspicious religious occasion, I extend to you my warmest congratulations and blessings, praying to Almighty God that it brings return to you and to all the proud Algerian people with goodness, prosperity, and blessings."
The General noted that "in the coming few weeks, our country will witness an important electoral event, represented by the legislative elections, which the various leadership echelons of the People's National Army and security services must ensure the success of."

This is a highly vital national event for our homeland and our people, as it represents the completion of the state's political re-engineering process, starting from the constitutional amendment process of November 1, 2020, through all the paths contributing to strengthening the democratic and institutional structure of the new and victorious Algeria."
He continued, saying: "Furthermore, in order to secure and guarantee the smooth progress of this important national event, and to allow citizens to exercise their constitutional right and national duty by casting their votes in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, the various leadership echelons must ensure that all security and operational measures are taken to guarantee the success of these legislative elections."
The General emphasized that "the battle to adapt our defense apparatus, in light of the repercussions of the current international situation, is a decisive battle in every sense of the word."
